For a 1 quart jar:
1 tablespoon salt – not iodized
1 clove garlic (peeled)
1 teaspoon pickling spices (no red pepper)
1 stalk dill
Pack in the pickles. Cover with water. Cover and close jar. Shake and then wait about six weeks. Less if you like your pickles semi- dill.
