Petroff’s Egg-In-The-Hole

Ron Petroff

1 piece of wheat bread
1 egg
1/4 stick of butter
1 slice of munster cheese
side of ketchup

In a large skillet, melt butter.
Place bread on a plate, take a round glass and flip it upside down in order to make an impression in the center of the bread to create a hole.
Continue cooking the cut-out-piece. Cook bread on skillet for 2-3 minutes and flip when side is lightly brown.
Crack egg into center of breadhole and let cook sunny-side-up until yolk slightly hardens (to desired consistency).
Place 1/2 piece of cheese upon the cut-out piece of bread and the other half on egg until slightly melted.

Served: Hot with a side of breakfast potatoes or fruit as desired.
